Some people teach that Christians should no longer sin at all using 1 John 3:8 but you need to read that verse properly because according to the original text it says he who habitually commits sin because it's in the present tense and those who hbitually sin are those who have the sin and death nature the adamic nature, just by what you just said you just sinned yourself because you misinterpreted that verse. You yourself sin everyday and you don't even know it, you may not sin the way you used to before you got born again but trust me you still sin in different ways, there's only One Sinless One and it's not you unless you think you're Jesus or Jesus Jr. But I do believe we can come to this place of sinless perfection by continually putting off the old man and putting on the new man Ephesians 4:22-24 through much mind renewal and mortification and transformation via James 1:21.
